Smokey Kettle Maple Crunch

Posted by Sandy McMurray on March 19, 2008 12:32 AM

While shopping for pies at Crawford's last week, I browsed through some of the high quality grocery and snack items on the shelves.

In addition to the pies, the tarts and the homemade gingerbread I brought home, I also picked up a bag of kettle cooked potato chips and a small, precious package of Smokey Kettle Maple Crunch.

Nothing complicated here -- Maple Crunch is basically caramel corn made with real maple syrup instead of the usual sweet caramel coating -- but the popcorn was fresh and light and the taste was very nice. The real maple syrup shines through, making it less like candy somehow.

Contact Smokey Kettle in Grimsby, Ontario to find out how to get your own bag of Smokey Kettle Maple Crunch and to find out more about their maple syrup products.
